11th June 2019
11:30am - 1:00pm
With an emphasis on case studies, this bite-size event consistently provides members and their guests with a look at the latest and greatest that the industry has achieved.
The winner of the 2019 Intervention Technology Award is Halliburton’s Electromagnetic Pipe Xaminer® V (EPX™ V). This new-generation array corrosion tool identifies and monitors corrosion damage throughout the well and can log up to 5 concentric strings of pipe in a well and provide quantitative metal loss for each pipe in one pass.
Corrosion Inspection for the Whole Well
The importance of mature fields cannot be underestimated in today’s oil and gas industry because they continually provide much of the current resources to market. Well integrity and corrosion are fast becoming an area of focus in mature fields and storage wells. Oilfield services that address these challenges become increasingly more valuable. Ensuring the delivery of oil and gas to surface by means of integral mechanical well barriers is as critical as tapping into additional reserves. Many factors affect casing integrity throughout the well life cycle. Fortunately, new corrosion technologies services are successfully meeting the challenge and providing new data that allows operators to make informed decisions, monitor wells, plan interventions, and safeguarding product flow.
Freeman Hill has over 34 years of extensive global and domestic experience in reservoir/well analysis, production optimization, and perforated completions in new well and intervention work. He has diverse knowledge of integrated solutions, petrophysics, reservoir conformance/water shutoff, and management. Freeman is the Global Product Manager for Well and Reservoir Conformance for Halliburton.
