Taking place on 8th April, Joseph will discuss ‘Investigating the Interaction of Brine and Diluted Inhibited HCl Acid on Coiled Tubing Steel’. The session will begin at 8.30am MST and will be followed by a moderated question period.
Joseph Burns is looking forward to bring his presentation to this new format:
“I am very excited to be presenting to the coiled tubing and well intervention community about the effects of acid dilution on coiled tubing steel corrosion. Throughout this presentation I will be addressing some case studies of coiled tubing exposed to hydrochloric acid which led to failure, and will present some laboratory mass loss results that indicate dilution of hydrochloric acid blends can have significant impacts on coiled tubing corrosion.
“It is unfortunate that we are unable to gather in person for this discussion, however we are very fortunate to have the technology to be able to communicate through virtual means. Regardless of the events happening in the world at this time, it is crucial that we, as an industry, continue to have discussions that allow us to move forward.”
A registration link will be emailed out in due course. To register your interest in this event, and to receive this link, please contact the ICoTA Canada Chapter before 5.00PM MST on Monday 6 April.
